The Sisters of St. Francis have a long-standing tradition of educating children since our beginnings in 1858 at the St. Alphonsus School in Philadelphia, Pa.
Currently, 35 percent of our sisters in ministry work in child and adult education programs across the United States and abroad. Education is the sisters largest ministry, followed by healthcare.
